Git Yo Knobs Farmin’, y’all!

Oh dear. Track names, eh. Never quite sure what vacant recessed of potential mine are drawn from, but, nevertheless…

Its a BIG ole month for deepchild releases this month, with brand-spankin’ new 12″s dropping on Trapez, recently SubContinental Dub and now, this bad-bwoy, Knob Farm (Breakout Audio) which has been some months in the making, but already soliciting charming chart support from likes of Thomas Schumaker and Alex Celler (Tuning Spork). This, you see, is how we roll in knob-ville. Smashing remixes on this little package come courtesy of Emerson ‘brothaman’ Todd, and Julien ’so-hot-right-now’ Chaptal. Bless their collective cotton socks!

…In other, non music-related news, I’m enamored, as always, by the compelling depth of dharma-teaching on the brilliant Dharmaseed.org website. To say that the teachings available from this website have provided a lifeline to myself over the past 4 or so years would be an understatement. For any interested in furthering their, erm, ’spiritual understanding’, there are fewer (FREE!) better-resourced starting-points that I’d suggest. Gentle, well-humbled teachers - many of whom (I must say, this does appeal to myself) were SanFran contemporaries of the late, great, Timothy Leary.

Nothing like an acid-trip to kick-start your unlikely spiritual-path, eh? Needless to say, I’d wager most have long-since traded in chemicals for meditative practice…humbling stuff, in any case.

Now, back to the remix-farm for me. New deepchild reworks shortly to drop for [a]pendics.shuffle, Weiki, Buckador and Fishbeck, and none-other than the mightily remarkable Portformat, feat. Obey The Altar Native. This brother can spit some mean-ass rhymes, and I’m hoping to do the mighty Portformat some justice. Heavy, dope-as-it-gets original hiphop/crunk/booty-fusion. BAM!
